Chuckie Dreyfus slammed the organizers of the Circus Music Festival after his children, who were among the platinum ticket holders, supposedly did not get the perks that the event advertised.

The Circus Music Festival is a one-day event held last March 29, Sunday, in Pasig City, featuring some of the biggest names in OPM, among them bands like Parokya ni Edgar, Rivermaya, The Itchyworms, and Kamikazee, as well as solo acts like Maki and Unique Salonga.

In his Facebook post, Dreyfus called out the show organizers while saying that his children paid top money for platinum tickets, only to end up with a “disaster” experience.

“Hey Circus Music Festival, what kind of circus are you really running?! My son paid for Platinum tickets for himself and his sister, expecting the premium experience you heavily advertised. What they got was a total disaster,” Dreyfus said.

The actor claimed that there were no barriers between the platinum and gold sections, and that the platinum ticket holders did not receive the event merchandise the organizers promised.

The organizers previously announced that they were not able to distribute the full set of freebies to platinum ticket holders due to “unexpected issues” with the suppliers.

Dreyfus deemed this reason “unacceptable.”

“Ticket buyers fulfilled their end of the deal. If you can’t deliver, you refund,” he stated. “Worst of all? You disabled comments on your Facebook page seemingly to silence ticket holders who feel just as scammed. That’s not just unprofessional—that’s cowardly.”

“My children left disappointed, frustrated, and cheated. And they’re not alone. You owe your paying customers more than a PR statement. You owe them transparency, accountability—and frankly, their money back,” he continued. “Fix this. Own up. And stop hiding behind excuses.”

‘Pointing fingers’

The festival organizers then released a statement on Monday, March 31, apologizing for the shortage of merchandise. They, however, stressed that the supplier is “making false claims and shifting the blame” onto them.

The organizers also showed the conversation and agreement they had with the supplier, saying they had already paid over P5 million for the merchandise but that they refused to pay the remaining P372,000 balance after the latter failed to fulfill their deliveries.

“Despite this, we take full responsibility for the situation and are actively working on ways to make it up to the concertgoers,” the organizers said.

“We will not allow this injustice to go unanswered. We are pursuing all necessary legal, criminal and civil actions to hold those responsible accountable,” they added.

Dreyfus, through an update on his earlier Facebook post, then acknowledged the statement of the organizers although hepointed out the blurred out details in the latter’s documents “despite claiming full transparency.”

The actor further noted that there were others who share the same unfortunate festival experience with his children, and that their stories have resurfaced after Dreyfus made a public post about it.

“Over the years, several ticket buyers from past editions have shared eerily similar horror stories… Some have even claimed they were blocked after following up repeatedly,” he said.

“Meanwhile, Platinum ticket buyers are still the real losers in all this—no merch, no perks, no refunds. Because when both sides are busy pointing fingers, it’s the paying public that gets played,” he stated.

Dreyfus concluded his post by adding the hashtags “Circus Music Festival” and “Circus Music Festival Scam.”
